Common Quotation Questions

Why has my quotation been referred, and what further information is required?

Every client is unique, and occasionally we need additional information to be able to provide you with the most appropriate and accurate cover for your business.

Typical reasons for referral include:

  • You require cover for genital piercings.
  • You are not yet licensed by your local authority.
  • You operate from a non-standard property.
  • We need additional information about security at your premises.
  • We require additional personal information such as residency status, IVAs, CCJs, past claims, or industry experience.

You may wonder:
“Will a referral stop me from being quoted?”
Not always. Each case is looked at on an individual basis, and we’re pleased to say that around 95% of referred quotes are accepted, often with very competitive terms.

What are your age limits for piercings?

We do not provide any treatments on individuals under the age of 18, except for the following:

  • Ear lobe, nose, and navel piercings: Suitable for clients aged 14 and above.
  • Ear lobe piercings only: Suitable for individuals 8 years and older.
  • Tongue and eyebrow piercings: Permitted from 16 years, but only with the written permission of a parent or guardian (a copy of which we must retain), and the parent/guardian must also be present during the procedure.

⚠️ Note: These age limits are absolute and non-negotiable.

Can I pay monthly, and how much will it be?

Yes, we do offer monthly payment plans, tailored to your personal quote. If you’re eligible, you’ll be offered credit terms based on your circumstances.

Please note:

  • Credit is offered subject to status.
  • The finance provider can utilize a credit reference agency to perform a credit check.
  • Such checks can leave a footprint and can be seen by other lenders or organizations reviewing your credit file.

Do you offer temporary insurance?

No. We offer all our policies on an annual (12-month) basis. We don’t offer temporary or short-term cover.

Is retroactive insurance possible?

No, retroactive cover is not included. This means any treatments carried out before the start date of your policy will not be covered under your insurance.
