Saatchi Gallery has partnered with M&C Saatchi Group to launch a bold global arts initiative—the Art for Change Prize, an annual competition celebrating emerging talent and the power of art to inspire social impact.
This free-to-enter international prize supports a shared mission: to make art, culture, and creativity accessible to all. It provides a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work, spark dialogue, and demonstrate how visual art can drive positive change worldwide.
This Year’s Theme: Equality
The 2022 Art for Change Prize invites emerging artists to submit work that responds to the theme of ‘Equality’. Artists are encouraged to explore this theme through social, political, environmental, or cultural lenses—and interpret it through their own unique perspective.
The Prize
A £20,000 prize fund will be awarded across six global regions:
- Five regional winners will each receive £2,000
- One overall global winner will receive £10,000
In addition to cash prizes, all six winning artists will have their work exhibited in a high-profile group show at Saatchi Gallery in London—one of the world’s leading spaces for contemporary art.
The overall winner will be announced during the exhibition’s opening on Wednesday, 7 December 2022.
Judging Panel
Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of respected figures from the art world and creative industries, including leaders from M&C Saatchi Group’s global network.
The overall winner will be selected by a grand jury led by Saatchi Gallery, with high-profile guest judges to be announced soon.
